    We are looking for a Retail Center Leader to serve members in our Lakeside Retail Center. We work in a collaborative work environment where we are motivated to redefine what the "member experience" looks like at all levels of the organization. This role will support external member experience by providing in-person financial knowledge and services to members of Member One FCU.

    Job Summary: Ensures safety and soundness of the retail center's monetary instruments, while achieving strategic objectives. Responsible for maintaining a professional and positive retail center image while supporting our credit union's vision and Core Values. Ensures daily business decisions are sound, strategic and compliant with regulations governing the industry. Motivate and inspires team to achieve retail center goals. Recruit, train and retain highly motivated, service focused individuals. Ensuring exceptional member service levels are maintained while operating within budgeted resources.

    JOB ACCOUNTABILITY/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Actively supports the mission, vision, and core values of the Credit Union. Actively demonstrates and supports Member Service Standards as established by the credit union.
    • Supports Credit Union Management, the Board of Directors, and Credit Union sponsored events and activities.
    • Ensures that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the Credit Union, its members and its employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
    • Understands, adheres to and communicates with direct reports all Member One policies and procedures, making exceptions within authority. Protect company reputation and guardianship via business ethics, integrity and legal compliance.
    • Achieve satisfactory scores on all retail center audits, as well as, ensuring the retail center and employees are operating within regulatory guidelines at all times.
    • Maximizes member service through onboarding, coaching, training, motivating and scheduling direct reports. Plans and implements appropriate training programs and meetings for direct reports to ensure a high level of performance. Supports the member relationship building process. Conducts regularly scheduled team meetings.
    • Ensures the right people are in the right roles; transitioning to the next level Manages interviewing/hiring, promotion, disciplinary actions, career development/pathing, and performance appraisals and when necessary, makes recommendations for terminations. Consults with Market Manager on personnel matters, when necessary, prior to taking corrective and/or disciplinary action. Creates a positive attitude among all employees to attain high standards of member service. Continues to build an environment that supports a team culture where there are clear goals, inclusion in decision-making, constant communication, feedback and recognition.
    • Resolves member issues as it pertains to the retail center.
    • Successfully implements new procedural changes in teller operations as directed by Market Manager.
    • Maintains up to date records of teller overages and shortages. Monitors out of balance conditions and ensures that they are addressed as outlined in the credit union procedures.
    • Performs unannounced cash count and monthly audits of tellers. Ensures drawer cash limits are adhered to.
    • As vault custodian, you are responsible for securing the vault and monitoring internal controls and cash management. Supervises daily recap of totals and daily balancing. Balances the vault daily to establish the actual amount of cash on hand. Maintains cash level within vault limit as established by management. Prepares, receives and validates documents, and cash from armored car service. Prepares coin deposit for Retail Center as needed.
    • Responsible for the proper functioning, scheduling, loading, settlement, balancing, and dual control of ATM and CDM.
    • Ensures that staff adheres to safety and security procedures. Responsible for the proper functioning of the branch security system and the reporting thereof.
    • Responsible for proper functioning of teller line equipment. Orders service and repairs as needed.
    • Responsible for assisting the staff with the accurate and timely completion of Currency Transaction Reports and Suspicious Activity Reports.
    • Prepares input for branch operating budget including but not limited to personnel, training, equipment, and fixed assets.
    • Performs all duties outlined and required of Retail Center staff when necessary.


    Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm, Saturday 8:30am-1:00pm

    Lynchburg Retail Centers (Timberlake Road, Lakeside Crossing, and Forest)

    Qualifications

    REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
    High School diploma or equivalent required.
    Associates degree preferred.

    Knowledge of bank/credit union teller operations, products, policies, procedures and services. Minimum of three years bank/credit union experience preferred.
    Minimum of one year of supervisory experience required.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
    Ability to function in a multi-task environment.
    Proven ability to identify and evaluate issues and reach sound conclusions or decisions based on fact in a proactive manner.
    Demonstrated skills in sales, coaching and problem solving.
    Must possess Windows-based computer skills and a working knowledge of office equipment.
    Must be available to work Saturday hours when required.
