Member Services Director directs and coordinates all aspects of the health maintenance organization (HMO) member services department. Plans and directs policies and objectives for addressing member inquiries. Being a Member Services Director establishes service quality goals for the department and implements strategies to meet these goals. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Member Services Director typically reports to top management. The Member Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Manages department of plant engineering and maintenance. Plans, organizes, directs and controls the facilities management functions of the hospital and District facilities, including but not limited to planning, design, construction, alteration, operation, maintenance and disposal of plant facilities and equipment; loss prevention management function, including but not limited to, safety, security and fire prevention/protection; and communications functions, including , paging, alarm, and radio communications systems. Establishes goals, objectives, and standards of performance, develops and implements operating policies and procedures; interprets policies, standards, regulations and codes to personnel. Oversees environmental services department.
Required or Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering or equivalent education/experience. Licenses as required. Previous supervisory experience. Requires comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, local standards and codes, and requirements of regulatory and accreditation agencies; standard operating procedures for plant operation; budget development, control and direction; personnel management; work standards for skilled personnel; material and equipment suppliers. Valid Washington State Driver’s License with evidence of current automobile liability coverage.
