Member Services Manager is responsible for daily activities in the member services function for a health plan or health maintenance organization (HMO). Collects data on member inquiries and service requests and conducts analysis to identify trends and recommend solutions. Being a Member Services Manager ensures service representatives follow established policies for addressing member inquiries and meet service quality goals. Manages the recruitment, hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of staff. Additionally, Member Services Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of unit/department. The Member Services Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. To be a Member Services Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 to 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Position: Buyer
    Reporting to: Vice President

    Purpose: Responsible for communicating with suppliers to get pricing and lead-time information, placing orders, and problem-solving to reduce the impact of supply chain constraints. Buyer will coordinate raw material delivery schedules with appropriate departments.

    Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

    • Communicate with raw material suppliers to provide material quotes.
    • Identify and establish new supplier relationships in order to procure required raw materials.
    • Procure raw materials in accordance with work instructions and company policies.
    • Issue purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, schedule, terms, and conditions as negotiated.
    • Provide supplier performance data as requested.
    • Maintain records and follow up on purchasing files as needed.
    • Monitor and evaluate supplier performance.
    • Resolve shipment quality discrepancies by mediating supplier/manufacturing issues.
    • Provide hands on training to coworkers.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
    • Participate in ISO, internal, external, and customer audits.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma/equivalent
    • 2 years of experience in electronics component buying. Automotive industry a plus.
    • Working knowledge of electronic component sources, bills-of-material, approved vendor lists, and IPC standards.
    • Strong analytical and negotiating skills to create the best deals with suppliers.
    • Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel, e-mail, and MRP/ERP applications.
    • Read and understand blueprints and engineering documentation (e.g., assembly drawings and component specifications) including industry workmanship standards.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Mostly requires sitting and working on computer/phone.
    • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs.
    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $48,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
