JOB SUMMARY: Perform the basic banking duties classified as bookkeeping, item, and data processing. Daily responsibilities will consist of various items from the essential duties and responsibilities below. This will be on a rotating basis, so employees are proficient in all areas.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Transmit ACH files from cash management and Internet banking.

• Process the collection of foreign exchange items as needed.

• Assist in managing the retention and destruction of truncated physical items.

• Responsible for error resolutions.

• Responsible for charge off checking and savings accounts for all locations.

• Responsible for incoming and outgoing returns.

• Review stop pay, hold and large item reports.

• Answer customer calls and e-mail correspondence.

• Assist branch personnel with deposit and teller operations questions.

• Escheat items on an annual basis.

• POD fraud monitoring.

• Process incoming and outgoing wires.

• Research and adjustments.

• Process unposted and NSF, DDA, and SAV items.

• Chargeback NSF items.

• Responsible for printing debit cards.

• Responsible for marking checks & ACHs to be returned for stop payment and WSUAs.

• Responsible for maintaining Cold reports.

• May participate in special projects or issues which may arise.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR CONSIDERATION:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED),

• Six months to one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Language skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos as well as instructional and/or regulatory material,

• Ability to write simple correspondence as well as instructional and informative procedures,

• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization,

• Mathematical skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent,

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions,

• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations,

• Knowledge of Horizon Database software; Internet software; Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word processing software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This is sedentary work that requires the following physical activities:

• Sitting or standing for long periods.

• Walking, talking, hearing, use of hands and good finger dexterity and feeling; reaching with arms, visual acuity; and using frequent repetitive motions.

• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds of paper supplies and minor office equipment.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Normal office environment.
