Member Services Supervisor supervises a group of member services representatives that address health plan or HMO member inquiries, questions and concerns in all areas including enrollment, claims, benefit interpretation, and referrals/authorizations for medical care. Responsible for researching more complex questions, investigating the cause of the issue, and responding to members on escalated issues. Being a Member Services Supervisor assists with hiring, training, ongoing monitoring and QA, performance evaluations and any corrective actions of member services representatives. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Member Services Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Member Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Stephens Memorial Hospital has an opening for a Full Time Environmental Services Supervisor for the Environmental Services department.
Position Summary:
The Environmental Services Supervisor manages the environmental services department. The responsibilities include managing all aspects of the environmental services department to include safety, compliance with regulations, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.
Will perform and supervise the following job duties,
Education / Experience Required:
High School Diploma or GED and 2 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical & Mental Requirements / Environmental Factors:
Strength Guidelines: Must regularly lift and/or move up to 15 pounds on a daily basis and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Motion Parameters: Frequently required to stand, walk, push/pull equipment; use arm, leg and back muscles for extended periods; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and extended arms; climb, stoop, kneel or crouch; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
Vision and Hearing Requirements: Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Hearing abilities required include hearing overhead paging system; noise level is moderate.
Work Environment: Regularly exposed to toxic/caustic chemicals, hazardous materials and waste; frequently works near moving mechanical parts, is exposed to wet, humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electric shock or vibration; occasionally works in outside weather conditions. This position is classified as an OSHA category 1 position: exposed to a specific hazard as a regular part of the job.
Emotional Demands: Must be able to manage difficult or emotional patient situations including the ability to respond promptly to patient or co-worker needs and requests for service and assistance.
