Member Services Supervisor supervises a group of member services representatives that address health plan or HMO member inquiries, questions and concerns in all areas including enrollment, claims, benefit interpretation, and referrals/authorizations for medical care. Responsible for researching more complex questions, investigating the cause of the issue, and responding to members on escalated issues. Being a Member Services Supervisor assists with hiring, training, ongoing monitoring and QA, performance evaluations and any corrective actions of member services representatives. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Member Services Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Member Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     The Pulmonary Supervisor oversees and takes an active role in all critical and acute respiratory care procedures. Coordinates all day-to-day shift operations

     

     

    Shift & Additional Details:

    Full Time FTE: 0.900000 (36 hours/week)Work Schedule: 12 Hour Days 

    This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position.

     

    Sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 based on experience.

    Qualifications

    Other information:Two to three years college level courses/Associates Degree/Diploma in Respiratory Care. Registered Respiratory Therapist with credentials from the NBRC, New Mexico State Respiratory Care License, BLS / ACLS or PALS certification preferred. Three years critical care experience plus at least one year supervisory experience preferred.

    Responsibilities

     

     

    Responsibilities:*All Registered Respiratory Therapist responsibilities.*Provides education / staff development and orientation of new employees.*Clinical expert and resource for respiratory care within PHS.*Facilitates customer related issues, including problem solving.*Controls staffing patterns in order to maintain appropriate UOS / FTE.*Participates in programs for respiratory staff, attends meetings, and chairs committees as needed.*Shift oversight which includes: hiring, performance appraisals, counseling and direct supervision of Registered Respiratory Therapists, Certified Respiratory Therapist and Respiratory Student Externs.*Rotates as supervisoron call for PHS Pulmonary Services.*Participates in departmental QM monitoring, and policy and procedure development/revision.*Provides education to other departments regarding respiratory care issues.
