Member Services Supervisor supervises a group of member services representatives that address health plan or HMO member inquiries, questions and concerns in all areas including enrollment, claims, benefit interpretation, and referrals/authorizations for medical care. Responsible for researching more complex questions, investigating the cause of the issue, and responding to members on escalated issues. Being a Member Services Supervisor assists with hiring, training, ongoing monitoring and QA, performance evaluations and any corrective actions of member services representatives. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Member Services Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Member Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.     POSITION SUMMARY: As supervisor of the Family Stabilization Program, this individual will
    provide leadership and guidance for the Family Stabilization Specialists of the Mental Health
    Program. In collaboration with the Clinic Manager, this individual will work with community
    providers, including mental health counselors, schools, probation, DHS, and primary care
    doctors, to coordinate treatment goals and services for children, adolescents, adults, and their
    families.
    This role will also carry a caseload of intensive services to families in which children are at risk
    of out-of-home placement due to significant mental health needs. This work includes providing
    skills training to children, adolescents and adults to address issues within the home and
    community settings.

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Provide day to day supervision and support to three (3) Family Stabilization Specialists.
    • Assess and help family members address barriers and identify strengths to meet the children’s needs for safety, permanence and stability within their homes
    • Utilize therapeutic service plans created by client’s counselors and/or Wraparound team to direct services
    • Provide in-home services to children, adolescents and families with a flexible schedule
    • Possess knowledge of dynamics of high-risk families including sexual abuse, physical abuse, trauma and domestic violence
    • Coordinate care with community providers currently working alongside client and family
    • Receive referrals and assign new cases to FSS workers
    • Refer clients to supportive services needed for stability and development of strengths and to supplement treatment
    • Provide a range of services including parent education, communication skills, home management, job readiness training, budgeting, and links to networks and community resources for parents
    • Provide a range of services including development of social skills, coping skills, and safety planning with client and family members
    • Participate in New Solutions Wraparound, Systems of Care, and other community meetings with which clients or families are involved
    • Prepare for family sessions, including staffing with coworkers, supervisors, client’s counselor or referral source, and families
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Provides administrative supervision; monitors and
    approves bi-monthly timesheets and time away requests, conducts recruitment, onboarding and
    continual training for program. Provides input and feedback regarding staff performance and
    conducts performance reviews for the FSS program. Coordinates with Human Resources
    Business Partner in handling employee transactions and resolving any employment issues.

    • Must work a flexible schedule to meet families’ needs and be available for crisis
    consultation, 24 hours a day for on-call hours, seven days a week, with the support of
    team members
    • Must have proven skills in creativity, problem solving, team building, resource development, mediation, etc.
    • Must be able to collaborate with community members
    • Must be able to work in a multicultural setting
    • Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure client
    confidentiality
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science;
    at least three (3) years of experience working with children who experience mental health
    conditions and/or traumatic experiences, victims/perpetrators of domestic violence, and
    alcohol/drug addictions; or any combination thereof. Must meet criteria for credentialing as a
    Qualified Mental Health Associate (QMHA) as defined in OAR 309-019-0125, which includes
    fingerprinting and successful completion of a background investigation.
