Membership Associate - Museum coordinates museum membership activities. Manages the members services program, distributes newsletters and other publications, sends renewal notices to expiring members, and maintains membership databases. Being a Membership Associate - Museum promotes membership renewals and marketing efforts. Provides reports to top management on membership statistics and trends. Additionally, Membership Associate - Museum may require an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Under limited direction, the Museum Curator II (Education) grows, strengthens, and fortifies K-12 educational programming at the museums by better aligning LCMS programming to LCPS K-12 learning goals and the curriculum map. Creates and develops outreach programs, learning opportunities, pre and post visit curriculum, and thematic programming for education and enrichment goals.

This position is graded at RX17.Bachelor's degree in Education, Humanities, Liberal Arts, Science, Museum Studies, or a related field PLUS three (3) years of experience curating, developing, and creating educational programming. A combination of education, experience, and training may be applied in accordance with City of Las Cruces policy.
Licenses/Certifications:
Valid driver’s license is required. Position requires an acceptable driving record in accordance with City of Las Cruces policies.
Knowledge of: Principles and practices of educational programming and curation; curriculum and resource development; K-12 curriculum standards and benchmarks; principles and practices of public relations; marketing, and communications; business and personal computers; City policies and procedures.
Ability to: Manage, prioritize, and complete complex assignments; create, develop, and establish effective educational programming; provide recommendations on educational programming and projects; communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally both orally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and representatives from other local, state, and Federal agencies.
Skills in: Developing and managing educational programs; developing recommendations for improvements of museum programs and facilities, conducting public presentations; presenting information regarding museum missions and operations to patrons of the museum; using specials tools, materials, and equipment specific to museums.
