Membership Director oversees an association or member organization's strategic goal-setting, implementation, and service operations to expand membership and deliver member satisfaction. Develops programs and initiatives to engage current members and recruit new ones. Being a Membership Director establishes service operational standards and policies to deliver efficient services to members. Implements web or social media processes to promote the organization and distribute membership information to prospective members. Additionally, Membership Director uses data-driven analysis, tools, and reports to measure member satisfaction and retention and to optimize services. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Membership Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Membership Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Membership Representative
Find and acquire new members
Greet and tour prospective members around the facility
Attend community events to promote awareness and build community relationships
Call, email, and text prospective members through their lifecycle
Integrate new members into a healthy lifestyle at Cross Gates Family Fitness
Invite members to attend various company events
Enroll members in consultations with certified trainers
Motivate members along their journey to building healthy habits
Identify the desired results of members and help them achieve those
Assist existing members with ongoing questions, concerns and opportunities to try new activities
Help members with various account changes
Update any info required for their membership.
Responsibilities:
Touring guests around the facilities
Connect and develop relationships with new and prospective members
Receive and make calls to prospective members
Create and implement marketing campaigns
Deliver amazing customer service to new and current members
Operate as a Manager on Duty
Requirements:
A 4 year degree is desired, but not required
Flexible schedule
Computer and digital marketing skills
Physically able to move around all day, this is not solely a desk job
A team oriented mindset
Self-motivation and drive
