The Membership Coordinator oversees the membership program, including sales, developing and attending membership activities, member tournaments, membership marketing, and member communications. Qualified candidates will thrive in a hospitality environment and focus on providing superior service.
DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
Fundamental Requirements:
• This position requires a professional, outgoing, and positive attitude toward our members and the ability to manage difficult situations occasionally.
• Responsible for meeting monthly and annual Country Club revenue goals as assigned by driving new memberships, golf tournaments, and special events.
• Act as the main point of contact for all member social events and works with Sales & Marketing Department in creating event orders, event marketing, invitations, menu selection, RSVPs, billing coordination, and onsite representative.
• Responsible for creating and executing quarterly sales action plans and meeting sales activity goals.
• Responsible for working with General Manager to create the annual budget and business plan, including but not limited to creating a social activity calendar for membership.
• Works with General Manager and Corporate Sales and Marketing office to create membership sales collateral and all sales and marketing materials and strategies
• Responsible for communicating regularly with the membership about events and happenings.
• Responsible for managing the Country Club websites with the Corporate Sales and Marketing office and keeping all information current.
• Required to attend all membership functions sponsored by the Club.
• Serves as a management representative on member-run committees.
• Administrative lead on member events such as golf tournaments and individual member events with responsibilities that include coordination and communication with Banquet & Catering staff, Food & Beverage Department, RSVP management, and billing.
• Collaborates with General Manager and Corporate Sales and Marketing office on all member website duties; responsibilities include updating and creating online content, distributing communications, tracking member activity, and collecting member feedback.
• Creates and distributes all regular member correspondence, including but not limited to: Monthly Member newsletters, Club announcements, and seasonal procedural updates.
• Maintains a complete understanding of membership categories, sales, and new member enrollment processes.
• Assists in onboarding all new members with new member announcements and orientation information.
• Maintains electronic member databases and complex files. Creates and maintains accurate and efficient filing systems.
• Prepares monthly membership reports
• Serves as the initial point of contact for many member and prospective member questions, providing accurate and efficient information to build strong membership relationships, improve member satisfaction and promote the overall club.
• Performs various administrative duties, including operating critical office machines such as computers, calculators, fax machines, and copiers.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
• Maintains adequate inventory of membership sales kits and various Club and Membership notices and information.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS
Education & Experience:
• College graduate.
• 3-5 years of resort sales, catering sales, or golf club experience.
• Golf and Tennis knowledge, preferable.
• Computer proficiency, including website maintenance and social media.
• Strong command of English writing skills.
• Strong customer service and satisfaction skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
Physical requirements:
• Long hours are sometimes required.
• Able to lift, pull, push, or carry 25 pounds occasionally.
• Able to stand or sit for long hours.

• Must be able to cross-train in other club-related areas.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
• PGA Member or PGA Associate preferred
• EZ Links, EZ Suite, EZ Engage, Golf Genius, USGA GHIN Handicap System, Point of Sale, Google sites, or equivalent Club system knowledge is preferred.
• Tournament Operations experience preferred.
• Golf instruction experience helpful
• Creative writing ability with previous experience in hospitality or club environment and a comfort level with graphic design is preferred
• Proficient on Social Media platforms; experience with ad creation preferred.
