Membership Manager manages an association or member organization's service operations to expand membership, deliver member satisfaction, and achieve strategic goals. Major responsibility is to oversee all aspects of the recruitment, registration, renewal and database management of clubhouse members. This role serves an important public relations function in the community, and customer/client service function in the club- by meeting / greeting all who enter or telephone; provide information about the club and its programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all current members and ensure this information is properly recorded and stored in the membership database. Ensure individual member paper-based materials are stored in a secure location. Provide regular attendance reports as requested.
Maintain daily records of new member sign-ups and renewals and ensure that fees are properly recorded and deposited. Ensure all members have clubhouse membership card.
Administer and manage the summer program registration and financial aid applications.
Notify members and families when membership is due to expire and perform appropriate outreach to insure renewal.
Support outreach activities in the community to recruit new members.
Ensure that all members entering the building are signing in and that attendance information is properly stored in the membership database.
Provide accurate and up-to-date program, activity and event information for all persons inquiring at the membership desk, on the Parent Bulletin Board, and over the telephone.
Assist Director with new member/parent orientation sessions. Ensure parents receive BGCB’s Parent Handbook/Guidelines.
Monitor daily attendance and help club maintain targeted attendance goals.
Monitor and manage club’s wait list.
Assist in the monitoring of traffic in the lobby area and prevent loitering of club members.
Assist in the supervision and discipline of members in the lobby area and throughout the clubhouse as deemed appropriate.
Politely receive and transfer all in-coming telephone calls to the club; take accurate messages when necessary.
Assessing our impact is critical to our work. All staff is expected to participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.
Orient, train and supervise department staff (including work-study students, junior staff, volunteers). Provide annual performance evaluations for applicable staff in a timely manner.
Travel between sites and to activities as needed.
Other related duties as specified by the Director or his/her designee.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demand:
High school diploma required; college degree preferred, equivalent experience considered.
Bi-lingual skills preferred (based on club’s needs).
Excellent customer service skills.
Basic computer skills including, data management, MS Office and web competency.
Must be or become certified in the member data system software, Kids Tracks.
Must be or become CPR / FA certified.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work clubhouse hours especially as seasons and service needs change.
Valid driver’s license required.
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday - Friday 12:00p-7p
Pay Range: $55k - $65k (Depending on Relevant experience & Internal Equity)
