Membership and Donor Relations Manager
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
● Develop and implement an annual membership/annual giving plan, meeting or exceeding annual revenue goals.
● Produces revenue reports and track progress toward annual revenue, member household, and retention and acquisition goals.
● Is responsible for the discovery, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of prospects and donors, with an emphasis on membership, Curator’s Circle, and corporate partners.
● Researches, identifies, and engages new prospects, drafting introductory meeting inquiries, follow up correspondence, and funding proposals.
● Maintains an active calendar of face-to-face cultivation and solicitation calls.
● Designs and launches compelling, innovative, and successful membership acquisition campaigns, and oversees annual Give Miami Day campaign.
● Devises and implements a comprehensive donor relations and stewardship plan to strengthen donor engagement and re-engage lapsed members.
● Builds meaningful relationships with donors and strategically progresses qualified members through the major gifts pipeline.
● Manages an efficient moves management system and pipeline for the Development Department in close collaboration with the Director of Development.
● Establishes and manages membership affinity groups.
● Actively solicits and closes gifts of up to $10,000.
● Maintains an attractive suite of benefits for individual and corporate members and ensures benefit fulfillment.
● Working closely with the Director of Development, manages member events, annual donor dinner, receptions, cultivation events, and other special projects.
● Produces high-quality correspondence, proposals, decks, printed materials, online content, and monthly membership e-blast.
● Ensures smooth administrative operations within the Development Department.
● Represents the museum at conferences, meetings, and events.

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS
● A minimum of three years of experience in a front-line non-profit fundraising role, preferably in the arts.
● Knowledge of professional fundraising principles, practices, and procedures.
● Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with funders.
● Experience communicating with funders on the phone, via email, and in-person.
● Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
● Experience with donor databases/CRMs.
● Experience managing special events.
● Ability to learn new skills and tools quickly and proficiently.
DESIRED
● Experience working in an arts/cultural setting in South Florida.
● Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Mailchimp, and Altru CRM.
● Bilingual in Spanish and/or Haitian Creole.
This is a full-time, salaried position that requires limited early morning, late evening and weekend hours as necessary, especially during periods of high volume (Miami Art Week, exhibition openings, etc.). A level 2 background check will be required upon the offer of employment.
Reports to: Director of Development
Compensation: Salary starting at $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and including an excellent benefits package.
