To be a Membership Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Membership Engagement Manager will be a key part of CyberEdBoard’s engagement and distribution team. This role will lead the execution of CyberEdBoard’s membership engagement strategy and promote consistent online activity from the community. This person will work closely with staff across the organization to help strategize new and exciting ways to keep the community actively engaged through the CyberEdBoard website, app, social media and community; and ultimately, fostering viable relationships to help identify and explore opportunities to maximize sustainability and engagement for optimal performance.

    This role will require a customer service focus paired with a research and analytical mindset to develop models for understanding CyberEdBoard’s community. The goal is to engage with executive members to catalyze impact and to assess the effectiveness of distribution for both online and offline engagement efforts. Based on the insight gleaned from analyzing the behavior, needs, and networks of CyberEdBoard’s digital community the Membership Engagement Manager will help fortify and grow CyberEdBoard’s online community with the goal of elevation and sustainability. Our ideal teammate would come from a strong background of cybersecurity membership management/development, communications, web analytics, content development, and digital strategy.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify new member prospects while working with current members.
    • Design and execute content for CyberEdBoard Talks.
    • Act as a liaison between CyberEdBoard members and ISMG events and editorial staff.
    • Manage and facilitate members-only working groups.
    • Identify collaborative opportunities that keeps members returning to our CyberEdBoard app to ensure members of the community are actively engaged.
    • Conduct annual reviews with members to ensure CyberEdBoard provides customized value.
    • Experience in quantitative and qualitative research methods, including survey creation.
    • Ability to synthesize extensive research and data into clear written and oral presentations.
    • Developing marketing campaign plans for target audiences, informed by analysis, for key initiatives.
    • Developing and executing on membership strategy, program, and activities. 
    • Daily moderation in the CyberEdBoard app to promote consistent engagement.

    Required Experience

    • At least a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in PR, Communication, Marketing, or other related areas.
    • 3 years of experience in membership or community management/development.
    • Experience working with CISOs or other C-Level executives.
    • Must possess a strong understanding of the cybersecurity industry and technology (B2B experience is preferred).
    • Prior experience within Events or Journalism.
    • Meticulous attention to detail & strong organization skills. 
    • Strong understanding of Excel, Projects, PowerPoint.
    • Experience with website design and graphic design are ideal.  
    • Self-starter who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic start-up environment with an outstanding ability to multitask and tackle tight deadlines.
    • Ability to project manage/prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Must be an independent thinker with a solution oriented mindset.
