Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Being a Men's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Men's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Men's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Assistant Coach to join our team. As an Assistant Coach, you will work closely with the Head Coach to support and guide athletes in their training and development. This position requires experience in various sports, including basketball, judo, karate, and martial arts. The ideal candidate will have a background in working with students and possess strong coaching skills.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Coach in planning and implementing training sessions
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to athletes
- Assist with organizing team practices and competitions
- Help athletes develop their skills and improve performance
- Ensure the safety of athletes during training sessions and competitions
- Collaborate with other coaches to create a positive team environment
- Support athletes' physical and mental well-being
- Monitor and track athlete progress
Skills:
- Lifeguard certification is preferred
- Strong knowledge and experience in basketball, judo, karate, martial arts, or related sports
- Experience working with students or young athletes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes
- Knowledge of sports coaching techniques and strategies
- Ability to adapt coaching methods to meet individual needs
- Strong organizational skills to manage practice schedules and competitions
This is a paid position with competitive compensation based on experience.
