Mental Health Technician observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization. Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patents and staff. Being a Mental Health Technician attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings. Records information about patients including vital signs, weight, and demeanor. Additionally, Mental Health Technician may communicate with patients family as needed. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a registered nurse (rn) or other supervisor. The Mental Health Technician works under moderate supervision. We have the following positions available: Full-time Assistant Supervisor, Full-Time Caseworker, along with Part-time and Full-time direct care mental health workers.
All applicants must be available to work varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred knowledge of Trauma-Informed Care, including Inclusion, increasing Resiliency, and system-based trauma.
All Team members must:
be at least 18 years of age
have no prohibited criminal offenses
possess a valid driver's license with no suspension or points within the past 3 years.
