Mental Health Technician observes and assists assigned mental health patients and helps with daily living activities, therapeutic activities, and socialization. Responsible for the overall maintenance of a therapeutic environment in the psychiatric unit and to ensure the safety of patents and staff. Being a Mental Health Technician attends and participates in group therapy, in-service education, and staff meetings. Records information about patients including vital signs, weight, and demeanor. Additionally, Mental Health Technician may communicate with patients family as needed. Typically requires an associate degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a registered nurse (rn) or other supervisor. The Mental Health Technician works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Mental Health Technician typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

    We seek Licensed Mental Health Therapists for a full-time position at our Portage, MI location with the option of working in the Kalamazoo location.

    Compensation:

    • $70,000- $100,000 (dependent on experience and education)

    Requirements:

    • Must be fully licensed
    • Doctoral or master’s degree in psychology, Social Work, or related counseling field
    • Minimum of two years of clinical experience.
    • Must provide a minimum of 15 scheduled visits per week.
    • Some evening sessions and Saturday appointments are expected.
    • Must be willing to have a caseload of children and adolescents.

    Beneficial Skills & Experience:

    • Competent with a wide range of clinical presentations.
    • Experience with children or adolescents.
    • Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
    • Solid computer and basic technology skills.
    • Demonstrated a history of professional growth and development.
    • Self-motivated and independent clinician.
    • Able to build rapport with clients quickly.
