Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Buyer to join our team. The Assistant Buyer will assist in purchasing and procurement activities to ensure the availability of products for our organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring goods and services
- Collaborate with vendors to obtain product information, pricing, and availability
- Communicate effectively on all levels both inside the organization and with vendors via phone, email, in-person, etc.
- Monitor inventory levels and track deliveries to ensure timely supply chain management
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels
- Assist in contract management and supplier relationship building
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed buying decisions
