**Buyer Responsibilities:

**

• Pepare accurate solicitations, which reflect all technical and administrative requirements.

• Evaluate bids, select suppliers, and place purchase orders to approved suppliers accordingly.

• Manage supplier submittals for compliance with technical and commercial specifications.

• Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers.

• Manage the vendor approval process for the commodities assigned.

• Coordinate the communications of technical and commercial information between internal functional stakeholders and the supplier to ensure successful order processing by sub contract machining suppliers.

• Allocate material to subcontract suppliers for machining.

• Complete bid analysis with supporting documentation in support of the Purchasing requirements.

• Coordinate resolution of supplier technical problems, claims, and specification issues as needed.

• Track open orders and report status, on a monthly and as-needed basis, to support business needs.

• Manage open invoice issues and delivery discrepancies.

**Minimum Requirements:

**

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.

**Job Qualifications/Requirements:

**

• Commodity experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Familiarity with Government Purchasing regulations FARS and DFARS.

• Microsoft Excel basic spreadsheet capabilities.

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

• Able to clearly communicate with suppliers and in-house technical personnel.

• Meet Purchasing goals and business expectations for cost, quality, and service

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance, if required.

Additional Preferred Requirements

• Preferred commodity experience in a manufacturing environment procuring sublet machined and fabricated components.
• SAP Purchasing knowledge for the Requisition to Receipt processes.
• Microsoft Word and Power Point basic skills.

The Buyer will work a 9/80 work week while receiving market leading pay, paid time off, paid winter holiday shutdown, educational refund plan, medical, dental, vision and service-based retirement contributions with additional 401k match.

$62000 - $97000 / hr
