Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma with CPhT certificate and registered with the KYBOP
• Experience:
  • Minimum: CPhT certificate, with previous buying experience of at least 1 year.
  • Preferred: Additional experience with Inmar One Recall, DCSCA regulations and oversight, Omnicell, CPSI, Meditech.

• Additional requirements / comments / education / experience / skills, registration or certification: Working knowledge with CPSI and/or Meditech, working knowledge of Omnicell or Pixis ADCs, working knowledge of software programs such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc., experience with Cardinal, ABC, 503B companies, DSCSA, and OneRecall

Job Description:

• To assist the pharmacy manager/supervisor with inventory control.
• To complete the daily receiving, processing, and returning of all medications (excluding employee and hospice scripts).
• Primarily responsible for purchasing all pharmaceuticals in the organization, processing all recalls, and ensuring DSCSA compliance is maintained.
• Other activities will include maintaining appropriate inventory levels, oversight of outdates, looking for alternatives to unavailable products, and completing clinic orders.
• He/she will help to maintain drug databases in the needed systems by ensuring new products get entered by pharmacist and bar code scanning is functioning on all medications.
• He/she will assist the pharmacist in any other task deemed necessary to complete patient care needs and the needs of the pharmacy department.
• He/she will contribute to the efficient operation of the department and promote the organization’s core commitments.
