The Pharmacy Buyer is responsible for performing a full range of tasks in the procurement and inventory control of medication and pharmaceutical supplies to sustain the smooth operation of the Pharmacy in accordance with established policies and procedures and/or regulatory pharmaceuticals guidelines. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Reviews and processes purchase requisitions for drugs and pharmacy supplies, determine ordering source ensuring the purchase is made at the most competitive price based upon availability
• Establishes and maintains an inventory management system; completes periodic audits to ensure reasonable levels are proper appropriate storage.
• Reconciles and processes vendor invoices to ensure accuracy; works with vendors or accounts payable personnel to resolve discrepancies.
• Works collaboratively with 340B Coordinators and analysts to manage purchases in compliance with HRSA 34oB regulations and to maximize drug cost saving as applicable
• Works collaboratively with HHC pharmacy buyer group; communicates drug and supply procurement challenges with Pharmacy leadership team and invested shareholders.
• Prepares and coordinates yearly pharmacy medication inventory
• Assists Pharmacy leadership team with quality and regulatory task.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years purchasing experience.
• Excellent negotiating skills.
• Computer and Internet literate.
• Demonstrates excellent organizational skills, such as adaptable/flexible in problem resolution.
• Self motivated/leading to creative performance.
