Position Summary
The Buyer will ensure the Companys operations are timely, efficient, and cost-effective. This person will assist in all procurement duties including executing purchase orders, estimating future demand for raw materials and component parts, analyzing inventory flow, and developing forecast models.
Role & Responsibilities
Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets
Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations
Follow up on back orders and past due orders and communicate with end users the status of their orders and expected delivery dates.
Maintain and update ERP system information by forecasting material requirements of company
Work with internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues related to purchased materials, including product/material/service quality, invoicing and returning.
Review purchase requisitions and convert them to purchase orders with commitment dates.
Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns for raw material and component parts.
Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
Successfully communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management at weekly inventory meetings.
Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
Work and coordinate with international and domestic logistics operations.
Support the monthly S&OP meetings by working effectively with the cross functional teams to ensure alignment.
Support the global demand planning team with analytical reporting.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in business, supply chain or related field
0-2 years experience, in a manufacturing environment preferred
Capability to multitask in fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
