Merchandise Planner, Sr. jobs in Atlanta, GA

Weezie is looking for a Senior Merchandise Planner to join our growing team. This person will play an integral role in defining and owning our product roadmap and will quarterback all activities from product inception to launch. In addition to owning new product merchandising and planning, you will also manage supply and demand for existing core products. This role reports into the VP of Merchandising & Business Development. 

What you’ll do: 

• In partnership with the VP of Merchandising, build seasonal merchandise strategy and assortment plan for all categories including: breadth, depth, price-point, revenue / unit forecasts, margin targets, and channel segmentation
• Balance industry trends and analytics to shape the assortment 
• Ensure clear and consistent communication with cross-functional digital, operations and creative teams for all go-to-market activities
• Define and implement safety stock strategies, depletion estimates and sunset plans across new and existing product lines
• Ad-hoc reporting on sales trends, sell through targets, margins, etc.
• Validate all SKU attribute data to feed into inventory, warehouse and web systems
• Manage Purchase Orders, monitor lead times and report on supplier performance 
• Conduct regular hindsight and competitive landscape analyses to shape seasonal plans and line architecture
• Monitor Vendor Compliance and Performance to better manage strategic sourcing relationships

Who you are:

• You have 2 years of experience in planning and/or merchandising
• Experience in Excel is required. Knowledge of Tableau, Toolio and Shopify are a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of demand forecasting and supply chain planning
• You have an analytical mindset and high attention to detail
• You are highly collaborative with strong communication skills
• You have working knowledge of assortment planning and merchandising
• You are flexible and can operate in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities 
• You are organized, proactive and a self-starter
