Job Description:
Cimarron is seeking Planners to support the Mobile Launcher 2 (ML2) at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The ML2 will be used, like the first mobile launcher, as the platform for assembling and testing the Space Launch System (SLS) in the Vehicle Assembly Building at the Kennedy Space Center, transporting the rocket to Launch Complex 39B, and supporting the vehicle’s launch. The platform includes various interfaces for fueling the rocket, providing power and data, and a crew access arm. This position is expected to last 6-months. This is a full-time/benefited (i.e. insurance, PTO, 401(k), etc.) opportunity with Cimarron.
Key Duties:
- Develop new and enhance existing project execution schedules in collaboration with project team members in assigned EPC function areas, including establishing the appropriate level of activity detail, logic sequencing, durations, resource usage, and interfaces based on analysis and knowledge of project execution in various phases.
- Identify and work with the project team to resolve complex or recurring execution challenges or risks in future phases of project execution.
- Plan, organize, and perform schedule resource loading and leveling, including the development of bulk commodity release and installation curves.
- Integrate appropriate staffing requirements for each discipline/specialty relative to the overall project needs.
- Develop and issue routine and special purpose scheduling reports and deliverables, including contract deliverables, resource curves, work-off reports, total float, and bow wave analysis
- Create and maintain management summary schedules (e.g., Level I, Level II, Project Milestones reporting).
- Create and maintain working level detail schedules, (e.g. Level V short-term execution schedules such as “3-week lookahead” plans).
- Create and maintain project and corporate schedule metrics reports (e.g., Start & Finish metrics and quantity loading and progress reports).
- Schedule data quality, integrity, and health analytics using manual and packaged software applications common in the industry, including confirmation that schedules are compliant and have been properly coded.
- Collaborate with the project team and oversight entities for issue resolution.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- Advanced level of Primavera P6 planning experience, including experience developing and maintaining complex schedules using Primavera P6 software on major EPC projects.
- Intermediate to advanced level of other Project Controls general technical skills.
- Proficiency in maintaining government EVMS compliant Primavera P6 schedule.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project requirements.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent project requests and/or changing priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with people of varied backgrounds and objectives.
- Intermediate knowledge and experience with Office and other standard industry productivity software tools.
- High School diploma or equivalent and 12 or more years of directly related experience, or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited university with 6 or more years of related experience.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Intermediate level of knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes as performed by Bechtel, including logic flow and resource planning.
- Knowledge of EPC Functional Work Management tools such as Teamworks, Setroute, QURR, EPPR, and/or BPSPerforming Monte Carlo Schedule Risk.
- Experience with industry-standard analysis software tools.
- Demonstrated skill in identifying and analyzing issues, and recommending corrective actions.
- Experience with DOD or NASA on major EPC projects.
- Experience in multiple Project Controls roles and disciplines or other functions.
- Knowledge of summary schedule software, including Milestones Professional.
