Merchant Card Customer Service Representative provides merchant bank card services to existing and new clients and acts as contact point for all merchant inquires. Responds to questions, researches and troubleshoots issues, processes billing and adjustment transactions. Being a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative assists with the set up and maintenance of services and processing systems including supplies and advertising collateral. Communicates new service offerings or changes to the clients. Additionally, Merchant Card Customer Service Representative may require an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Merchant Card Customer Service Representative gains or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Works under moderate supervision. To be a Merchant Card Customer Service Representative typically requires 1-3 years of related experience or may have 0 years of experience with additional training, or certification. - Directly responsible for assisting new and existing customers.
- Producing sufficient sales to meet and exceed company and location production standards.
- Become an AT&T® product and solutions expert and able to help all customers with wireless service plans, wireless devices, broadband, and home entertainment packages such as AT&T® TV.
- Handling customer situations and making equitable decisions for the customer and the company.
- Soliciting, coordinating, scheduling, and participating in community events.
- Performing other duties as assigned by sales management.
- Participating as a “team player”, constantly supporting other team members
- Setting an example of high personal and professional conduct for employees and others.
- Creating the ideal customer experience with each customer interaction.
What we are looking for- Must be at least 18 years of age and have a High School diploma or GED. (2-year associates degree is preferred)
- Experience in retails sales and customer service.
- Strong communications skills.
- Must be flexible to work nights, weekends, and holidays if necessary.
- Team players with a fantastic attitude and a will to win.
- Basic knowledge of computers and mobile phones/devices.
