Merchant Card Sales Manager manages and directs a sales force to achieve sales and profit goals within a region. Designs and recommends sales programs for the merchant card department and sets short and long-term sales strategies. Being a Merchant Card Sales Manager evaluates and implements appropriate new card sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, Merchant Card Sales Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Merchant Card Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Merchant Card Sales Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Card Services Manager manages the card services processes, features, and staff members within the card services department, providing supervision of day-to-day activities, as well as departmental projects.
    What you’ll do:
    • Assist with review and establishment of new and existing card products, features, and connections.
    • Incorporate identification of risk and implementation of risk mitigation as appropriate.
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant credit union systems and products for incorporation into projects.
    • Participate in coordination of activities from third party vendors for an efficient and member friendly process.
    • Make decisions within limits for risk acceptance within services overseen by cards.
    • Close monitoring and reporting on fraud activities, and creation of fraud rules as appropriate to protect the credit union while maintaining member experience.
    • Maintains detailed knowledge of systems, policies, and procedures related to card services.
    • Prepare regular reports for management, board, audit, or other necessary entities.
    • Provides leadership through effective objective setting and communication.
    Qualifications/Experience Required:
    • Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent financial institution experience.
    • Thorough knowledge of card and payments rules and regulations.
    • Thorough knowledge of credit union electronic services (card services) policies, procedures, and products.
    • Three to five years’ previous electronic services experience preferred.
    • Three to five years of previous supervisory experience.
    • Excellent member service skills.
    • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and supervisory skills.
    • Good oral, written communication skills.
