Designs and recommends sales programs for the merchant card department and sets short and long-term sales strategies. Being a Merchant Card Sales Manager evaluates and implements appropriate new card sales techniques to increase the region's sales volume. May recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential. Additionally, Merchant Card Sales Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Merchant Card Sales Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. About the Role
The Merchant position is an entry level commodity trading position challenged to develop and utilize trade skills in origination, sales and execution in a defined market. This individual will learn market analytics, build customer rapport, buy and sell commodities, logistics execution, contract management and accounts receivable. The Merchant is expected to build and maintain customer relationships on the origination side of the business as well as with the end user and transportation partners.
