Marketplace Merchant Overview: Directly responsible for the strategy and execution of sales growth on Amazon. Accountable for driving profitability through pricing and shipping. Responsible for optimizing A content and product information. Summary of Duties and Responsibilities: - Accountable for developing and achieving financial KPIs such as sales, gross margin, net profit, and shipping income - Drive increased sales demand through product pricing strategies that meet profitability targets (accounting for marketplace fees, logistics, and shipping costs) - Partner with internal teams to create pricing strategies, gather product information, optimize product titles, descriptions, images, and other product attributes for maximum visibility and improved sales performance - Regularly analyze account performance using Amazon’s analytics tools, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve sales and guest satisfaction - Showcase exclusive brand features through brand pages and product content - Frequently shop other competitors to ensure strategies are competitive and relevant for current and future plans - Set pricing parameters for each product listed on Amazon - Remediate pricing violations and maintain overall account health for Amazon - Publish weekly reporting to monitor sales, gross margin and shipping expenses to determine product trends and risks - Create pricing strategies by category, brand, and items - Respond quickly to time critical requests Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Merchandising, or equivalent - Minimum 2 years experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning, or pricing - 2 years Ecommerce experience highly preferred - Experience with Amazon advertising tools is preferred - Proficient in working with e-commerce platforms - Ability to identify trends in the marketplace and think strategically - Possess a clear understanding of retail math and financial measurements - Understanding of how product variables (size, weight, dimension) affect cost of shipping and how to identify that cost - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders - Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously - Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision - Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment - Analytical with excellent attention to detail
