Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst compiles and analyzes data required for merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects. Performs integrated revenue/expense analysis. Being a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst develops projections, reports, and presentations of the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization. Performs financial forecasting and modeling. Additionally, Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst prepares required documentation. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings. Assists with project management activities. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • In this entry-level position, the Acquisitions Analyst will be responsible for analyzing potential acquisition targets, assisting in the due diligence process, tracking target activity within the CRM, and performing new market research on target markets.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and maintain acquisition pipeline and tracking activity within the CRM.
    • Organize relevant prospect documents and tasks associated.
    • Report monthly and quarterly acquisition metrics.
    • Record competitor M&A activity and relevant industry notes.
    • Conduct market research on specific target markets to provide recommended commercial landscape targets.
    • Perform company overviews on prospecting companies.
    • Build financial models and restate income statements to drive valuations.
    • Analyze historical company performance during due diligence.
    • Track due diligence efforts weekly and provide an updates for priority alignment.
    • Prepare key internal deliverables for acquisitions.
    • Ad hoc reporting as necessary.

     

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent.
    • Professional experience preferred, but not required.
    • Ability to work productively in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
    • Strong financial and analytical skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
    • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently.
    • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
    • Solid communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
    • Sound deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff in the organization.
    • Proactive with the willingness to adapt to change.
    • Positive, optimistic and ambitious.
