    The Marketing Director will serve as the Head of Targeted Channel Acquisitions which will include all Direct Mail, Email, and Targeted wellsfargo.com channels. The focus will be to create and lead credit card acquisition strategies to support a growth portfolio of Wells Fargo branded and cobranded products while taking advantage of new marketing platforms and capabilities.

    This role is critical to the ongoing success of the Cards Acquisitions roadmap. The leader will be expected to continue to unlock growth opportunities for targeted acquisitions channels via improved capabilities, diversified creative and personalization, and ever-increasing marketing sophistication. Given the critical importance of Risk and Control to the Consumer Lending business at Wells Fargo, this role is expected to be able to natively operate with a risk management mindset - leading by example and fostering a control-focused culture within the organization.

    Critical to success will be a strong understanding of credit card marketing with an ability to develop the vision and strategies of how Targeted Channels Acquisition will deliver with a strategy and execution focused mindset.

    In this role, you will:
    • Lead and develop experienced cross-functional teams with the focus on delivering targeted acquisitions strategies for the Credit Cards Marketing organization that will have a profound impact on the Cards business and the larger Consumer enterprise
    • Includes opportunity to directly influence the multi-year capabilities roadmap across targeted channel marketing - audience development, creative marketing effectiveness, offer strategy, modeling approach, and connectivity & contact sequencing plan across multiple delivery channels
    • Develop sophisticated audience targeting, optimized customer engagement, insights or operational excellence that improve business outcomes
    • Lead acquisitions targeted marketing team by making strategic decisions to resolve, assess and mitigate operational risk to meet and achieve business or performance deliverables
    • Interpret and develop legal, compliance, and privacy regulations and policies for managing risk and proactively driving digital operational excellence
    • Collaborate with and influence leaders, vendor relationships and internal or external business groups
    • Lead a team of experienced managers and cross-functional or virtual teams
    • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Marketing
    • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
    Required Qualifications, US:
    • 8 years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, or Social Media experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
    • 4 years of Management experience
    Desired Qualifications:
    • Marketing Leadership experience, ideally within Credit Cards Acquisitions
    • Extensive knowledge and experience in building strategies within Targeted Channel Acquisitions, specifically Direct Mail
    • Experience building and/or enhancing existing acquisition capabilities and platforms
    • Virtual leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment
    • Financial services experience with Risk Management and Control
    • Ability to successfully navigate complex and at times, potential ambiguous business challenges
    • Ability to influence across multiple levels of the organization, while driving efficient decision making and alignment with primary decision makers
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, ensuring the necessary engagement and support of key stakeholders
    • Ability to develop, engage, and motivate high performing teams
