Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst compiles and analyzes data required for merger, acquisition, and divestiture projects. Performs integrated revenue/expense analysis. Being a Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst develops projections, reports, and presentations of the impact of a merger/acquisition on the organization. Performs financial forecasting and modeling. Additionally, Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst prepares required documentation. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings. Assists with project management activities. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or accounting or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Job Summary

    The Acquisitions Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of renewable energy tax credit transactions (both syndication and principal investments), including performing full analysis of projected returns and risks, interfacing with internal and external constituents, (e.g., outside legal counsel, developers, investors, etc.), and ensuring that key deliverables and milestones are met to achieve full transaction closing.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities
    • Prepares financial models projecting the operating performance and net after-tax benefits of renewable energy investments

    • Identify and manage risk with renewable energy investments

    • Support the full life cycle of the transaction from closing to final true up. May serve as the asset management point of contact.

    • Prepares presentations for various audiences (e.g., developers, internal clients, outside investors, etc.)

    • Prepares benefit projections to fulfill reporting requirements to investors in existing funds and to assist in the marketing of new funds to prospective investors

    • Prepares investment approval memorandums

    • Prepares reporting and analysis to assist in responding to investor due diligence requests

    • Develops enhancements to our pricing model to accommodate unique deal structures and to help make the model a better resource for internal users and external clients

    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Skill in
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

    • Reading and understanding tax returns, financial statements, operating and cost budgets, and renewable energy-specific documentation

    • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing

    • Utilizing database and document management software to gather varied and complex information

    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications including Microsoft Office to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, and spreadsheets.

    • Organize, manage and track multiple detailed tasks and assignments with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment to meet required results

    • Analyze data, identify issues, draw logical conclusions and interpret results for use in decision making

    • Gather data from multiple sources, review, and accurately input data into various spreadsheets or databases

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
    Education/Previous Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) in business, finance, accounting or related field and a minimum of six (6) years of experience. A strong interest in project finance and quantitative and analytical skills.
