Mergers and Acquisitions Manager evaluates an organization's opportunities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures and oversees M&A project management processes including due diligence, financial planning, scoping, closing, and integration. Coordinates research and analysis activities required to assess strategic impact and risk. Being a Mergers and Acquisitions Manager develops financial models used to estimate cash flow and the potential for profitability. Collaborates with key stakeholders. Additionally, Mergers and Acquisitions Manager may participate in negotiations. Typically requires a MBA or equivalent. Typically reports to a director. The Mergers and Acquisitions Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mergers and Acquisitions Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Manager, Project Acquisitions role is responsible for working hand in hand with the deal team to acquire and close distributed generation solar projects from our partners. We are seeking a motivated individual that has a strong attention to detail, good financial acumen and experience working in and negotiating deal documents.


    Job Duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

    • Will support the deal team in organizing diligence requirements, exhibits, QA logs and other critical deal information
    • Ensure that critical tasks are completed on time and responsible for following up with our partners to get critical documentation in a timely manner
    • Responsible for running high-level financial models
    • Responsible for maintaining closing timelines, diligence lists and organizing the deal teams to successfully close projects on schedule
    • Maintain knowledge of solar economic market trends, local market policies, general industry costs and key industry players
    • Organize and keep track of all project closing efforts
    • Attend trade shows (1-2 per year)
    • Travel to meet with partners during the deal, as needed
    • Support forecasting activities and opportunity tracking activities in Salesforce.com
    • Other duties may be assigned

    • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential project opportunities and assess market trends, competition, and risks.
    • Project Identification: Collaborate with internal teams to define acquisition criteria and identify projects that align with the company's strategic goals.
    • Due Diligence: Lead due diligence efforts, including financial analysis, legal reviews, and operational assessments, to evaluate the viability and risks associated with potential projects.
    • Financial Modeling: Develop comprehensive financial models to analyze the financial feasibility and potential return on investment of prospective acquisitions.
    • Negotiation: Conduct negotiations with project stakeholders, ensuring favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with legal, finance, and other relevant departments to facilitate the acquisition process and ensure seamless integration of new projects.
    • Documentation: Prepare and review all documentation related to project acquisitions, including letters of intent, purchase agreements, and other contractual documents.
    • Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and potential acquisition targets.
    • Reporting: Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of acquisition initiatives, highlighting key milestones and potential challenges.


    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree AND 1-2 years of solar or renewable energy experience
