🏥 Director of Emergency Services - El Paso, TX (752703)

• Salary: $110,000- $140,000

🌟 Position Overview: 
The Medical Center, located in East El Paso, Texas, is seeking a Director of Emergency Services to lead and manage the Emergency Department. This facility boasts a Level II trauma designation, 300 patient beds, and offers a wide range of services including emergency care, cardiac care, women’s services, Level III NICU, rehabilitation, a bariatric clinic, and a Minimally Invasive Surgery Center. 

🔑 Key Responsibilities:
As the Director of the Emergency Services Department, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality patient care within the Emergency Department. Your key responsibilities include:

• 🚨 Identifying and addressing real/potential problems affecting the service
• 📣 Active participation in hospital committees and fostering communication
• 🏆 Advancing the patient experience in the Emergency Department
• 👥 Coaching and providing constructive feedback to subordinates
• 📜 Adhering to Human Resource policies
• 📢 Effective communication of departmental and industry information to staff
• 🤝 Promoting evidence-based employee engagement practices
• 🌐 Building strong relationships and networks to achieve department goals
• 🌱 Mentoring potential future leaders among staff
• 📋 Enforcing emergency department care standards and compliance processes
• 📈 Developing, implementing, and evaluating an ongoing emergency services program
• 🔍 Monitoring compliance with regulatory and safety policies
• 📊 Overseeing a quality improvement program
• 🏆 Ensuring operational excellence and compliance with policies and standards
• 👥 Supporting the recruitment process for staffing talent
• 🔄 Performing other assigned duties

📚 Qualifications:

• Education:
  • BSN required
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
• License/Certifications:
  • Registered professional nurse license in the state of practice
  • ACLS, PALS or ENPC, BLS certifications required
• Experience:
  • 3 years of emergency services experience required
  • 3 years of leadership experience preferred
  • Must have leadership experience as a manager or director

🌐 Additional Information:

• Facility: 357 beds, Level II Trauma Center
• Main ED: 41 headwalls, approximately 150 patients/day
• 2 FSEDs: Each with 12 beds, seeing around 30-40 patients/day
• Union facility

💰 Salary:

• Minimum: $110,000
• Mid: $125,000
• Maximum: Pending HR Approval
• 15% Director bonus incentive
• Sign-on & Relocation: Case by Case Basis
