Metallurgical Engineer jobs in Carrollton, TX

DayToDay Responsbilities:

  Primary responsibility is to make sure app is up all the time

  Respond to reports of app being down
  
  


• 
  
  Triage call-- they will lead and come up with solution
  
  


• 
  
  Tier 2 app-- recovery time is 4 hours
  
  


• 
  
  Work with monitoring to put additional monitoring and do help with set up (identify gaps)
  
  


• 
  
  Prepare for disaster recovery apps
  
  


• 
  
  Documentation of process and discoveries
  
  


• 
  
  Deployments on Friday night (expected they have to work beyond their typical 8- 5) Have to get on triage calls
  
  


• 
  
  In seat Monday- Friday 8-5
  
  


• 
  
  Weekend on call-- they can get paged out-- have to respond and get on triage call
  
  


• 
  
  Need to talk to the development teams when something is wrong with the platform (helps debug production issues)
  
  

Must Have:

• 
  
  5-7 years of overall experince (development/ engineering)
  
  


• 
  
  UiPath (the product itself went through an overhaul the last few years-- container base) 2022.10 and up (4 years of total exp at least/ They can have some experience with old architecture)
  
  


• 
  
  Should know basic architecture and have experience with installation and setup of environment
  
  


• 
  
  Kubernetes-- its all bundled in the product comes with Kubernetes orchestration set up
  
  


• 
  
  Prometheus and Grafana monitoring-- will contribute to stabilizing
  
  


• 
  
  Some exp developing bots-- opening and scheduling
  
  


• 
  
  Redis architecture-- some queries writing (new version they have some challenges they are facing) some experience
  
  


• 
  
  SQL server database- running basic sql queries 2012 upwards or Oracle 19
  
  


• 
  
  This person will come from a development background (Java or .NET) need that mindset to debug issues
  
  


• 
  
  Linux middle ware server-- (debug)-- basic queries, open log and where the issue is
