Metallurgical Engineer jobs in Frisco, TX

Metallurgical Engineer designs and initiates processes for the manufacturing of metals from ores and for the operation of the related production equipment. Performs analysis and tests to aid in the development of new and improved metals and alloys as well as their applications to various products. Being a Metallurgical Engineer requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Metallurgical Engineer work is closely managed.     • Perform duties to plan, schedule, operate, and maintain a refrigeration system.
    • Good basic understanding of electrical and/or mechanical skills.
    • Possibly assist in emergency response situations.
    • Keeps all necessary records for the refrigeration system to stay compliant.
    • Knowledge and practice with HVAC repair.
    • Responsible for any routine maintenance and general housekeeping of refrigeration systems and warehouse related maintenance.
    • Conducts daily routine inspections of all refrigeration equipment including Engine Room Log, and keeping of and maintaining records for compressors, evaporators and receivers.
    • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facilities refrigeration system.
    • Establish and maintain a high level of professionalism that supports collaboration and problem solving while building strong working relationships with facility management, subordinates, and vendors.
    • Ensures that all OSHA and EPA operational requirements and regulations are met.

    • Working knowledge of the functions of various material handling equipment (e.g. forklifts, pallet jacks, lead acid batteries, battery chargers, etc.).
    • Knowledge of refrigeration control systems.
    • Knowledge of mechanics and mechanical skills

    What We Are Looking For:

    Education

    • High School Diploma or GED; Tech School Graduate in HVAC or Equivalent Field, preferred
    • Must pass Emergency Response Physical.
    • Lung Capacity and Auditory Testing are conducted annually
