Description
- Qualification and certification of metallurgical laboratory activities. Adherence and qualify to established laboratory accreditation bodies such as AS9100, NADCAP and customer requirements.
- Liaise with Metallurgy and Quality in regards to metallurgical traceability, testing, and specifications.
- Process enhancement of Test Laboratory processes.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures. Bring problems to the attention of Managers, Supervisors, Group Leaders, Safety/Environmental Manager, or Director of Human Resources.
- Follow daily Procedures and Protocols as set forth in job orientations and trainings.
- Authorized to train procedures and techniques to operators, technicians and coworkers as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Ability to work within established polices and rules.
- Ability to work with fellow plant employees; Have good people skills. Have contact with all plant employees and senior management.
- Ability to see opportunities for improvement and cost reduction in the daily operations.
- Ability to communicate, plan, and implement all of the test laboratory related functions.
