KCRA 3, the NBC affiliate in Sacramento and a Hearst Television station, has an opening for a Chief Meteorologist. We are looking for someone who knows the science of forecasting and can tell a relatable weather story to keep viewers safe and informed in Northern California. You will be an accurate forecaster, convey appropriate tone for the situation, summarize complicated information, and be able to use the latest technology. You will also lead a team of meteorologists and will demonstrate and communicate our coverage plan to producers, anchors, reporters, video journalists, and our digital team. You will report to the News Director.

Salary
The estimated base salary range for this role is between $170,000 and $220,000. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
