We are currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician , to work within our Catholic Charities Disabilities Services Agency. As a Maintenance Technician , you would be responsible for all general maintenance of the agency properties to ensure a safe, homelike environment for the individuals residing in the residences. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Performs all plumbing, electrical repairs, basic woodworking, installations and repairs for small appliances
• Performs various remodeling projects, including but not limited to sheet rocking, framing, floor tile installations, painting, etc.
• Performs all landscaping functions including mowing, tree pruning, planting, etc. and ensures the timely removal of snow and ice
Rotates on-call responsibilities as scheduled; On-call is required on a rotating basis for evening and weekend coverage

Maintenance Technician Minimum Salary: $20.00/hour

Maintenance Technician Maximum Salary: $20.00/hour

Maintenance Technician Schedule: M-F, 7:30am-4:00pm * additional hours may be required in cases of emergency such as a snowstorm*

Qualifications:

• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• High School diploma or GED
• Competency in basic areas of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
• One to three years of experience as a technician is preferred
Knowledge of building maintenance or construction, including painting or patching is preferred
