Meter Maintenance Technician installs, maintains and repairs gas meters. Tests meters to ensure they are in working order. Being a Meter Maintenance Technician inspects area for gas leaks and provides resolutions to customer issues. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Additionally, Meter Maintenance Technician typically reports to a manager. The Meter Maintenance Technician works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. I, incl. knowledge & understanding of all aspects of domestic plumbing (identification/troubleshooting wtr leak(s) & confirm leak(s) stopped. Possess Grade I Water Use Efficiency Practitioner cert. from AWWA CA/NV Section. May consider Grade II Water Distribution cert. in lieu of Wtr Use Efficiency. SEE JOB DESCRIPTION FOR DETAILS.
