Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Meter Reader typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Meter Reader may require 0-1 year of general work experience. Ideal Candidate
At least one year of experience in reading water meters as a meter reader or in a data entry position, accurately entering alpha and numeric data. Experience using a computerized handheld, microprocessor, or smart device to read the water meter and recording procedures. Experience using a customer information system configured exclusively for utility account billing. Able to work in a physically demanding and highly diverse position, working outside in a subtropical climate and adverse weather conditions. Ability to follow oral and written instructions; maps or directions and to safely drive a motor vehicle. Possession of a valid Florida Driver's License with a clean driving record
