    Summary:

    ITT Goulds Pumps is seeking an Inventory Analyst to join their team in Seneca Falls, NY. This position offers a hybrid schedule of 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home after the initial training period.

    This functional subject matter expert will work cross functionally to develop and drive the inventory strategy plan to ensure optimal inventory levels and optimal cost. The suitable candidate will have a meaningful impact on the company’s future! Specifically, the Inventory Analyst will be balancing the purchase and production of items that are manufactured with meeting our customer need for improved lead time. This will require improvements in inventory management processes; improvements in our organizational wide forecast processes; and improvements in the material and communication flow between supply chain and subcontracted suppliers. In the role of Inventory Analyst, you’ll work closely within the Operations department leadership team, as well as counterparts in Purchasing, Global Supply Chain, Engineering, Finance, Product Management and Sales to ensure we’re thinking of solutions that benefit our customers and ITT Goulds Pumps equally.

    Essential Responsibilities

    • Spearheads the development of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
    • Work cross functionally to establish an inventory plan to support market lead time, variability by optimizing working capital
    • Work with buyers, planners, product management, and global supply chain to develop an inventory strat plan/plan for every part
    • Monitor forecasts and quotas to identify changes or to determine their effect on supply chain/inventory activities.
    • Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory turns, reduce waste, or optimize customer service.
    • Set up special programs: KanBan, pull systems, global warehousing and consignment etc.
    • Evaluate usage and variability
    • Lead manage and execute supplier conversions after sourcing team identifies a new supplier
    • Participate in the coordination of engineering changes, product line extensions, or new product launches to ensure orderly and timely transitions in material or production flow.
    • Facilitate the elimination of excess and obsolete inventory
    • Responds to all internal and external customers with urgency and professionalism.

    Position Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree (Supply Chain or Engineering degree is preferred) or equivalent experience is required.
    • 3-5 years of relevant supply chain and inventory management experience working with low volume high mix product implementing inventory management strategies in support of customer demand fulfillment
    • Strong knowledge of lean management systems and impact on inventory management is required
    • Tactical systems experience including SAP and MS office (must be highly skilled in Excel to connect and/or consolidate data through pivot tables, charting data, and able to create compound and complex formulas.)
    • SQL experience is preferred
    • Ability to analyze data from various MS Office tools
    • Highly organized and able develop inventory strategy plans
    • Ability to analyze product hierarchies and extract data from bills of materials
    • APICS CPIM certification is preferred
