Summary
DPS Group is seeking a Quality Control Microbiologist for a client in Alachua, FL. Successful candidates will perform environmental monitoring and utilities sampling/testing.
Responsibilities
- Perform environmental monitoring and utilities sampling/testing.
- Perform routine testing in support of manufacturing processes to include bioburden, sterility, endotoxin, culture purity, cell stock identity and rotary centrifugal sampler (RCS)
- Perform general laboratory support activities including equipment maintenance and housekeeping
- Ability to aseptically gown into cleanrooms
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs Perform STAT testing for TOC and conductivity.
- Perform data review, Perform Microbial Identification, and Perform lab investigations.
- Author change controls and SOPs Perform trending and author trend reports
- Collect routine EM samples from the facility
- Train and provide technical guidance to other microbiologists
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications
- BA or BS degree in Biology, Microbiology or similar field 2 years of direct experience in pharmaceutical QC Microbiology with emphasis in environmental monitoring and microbial identification
- Prior aseptic gowning and environmental monitoring experience in a GMP environment Prior experience leading EMPQ and Utilities qualification
- Experience with various microbial Identification systems (biochemical, MALDI-TOF, DNA sequencing) Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (MODA, Lab Vantage, etc.) Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Smart Sheet Prior Training experience (i.e. on the job training)
- Excellent troubleshooting and ability to communicate issues in a scientifically sound and understandable way
- Ability to efficiently prioritize, manage and complete multiple projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Working knowledge of USP, ISO, FDA and ICH guidelines
- Ability to provide legal US work authorization documents required. Will consider US domestic travelers and relocation.
