Microbiologist jobs in Madison, WI

• Will perform routine analysis
• This team is doing more chemistry techniques due to verifying specifications of Probiotics and ensuring label accuracy. The goal is to make sure the product meets the label claim.
• Enumerations of probiotic sample (high count methods)- accuracy is a must.
• A lot of dilution series testing - Multi step dilution testing.
• Spread plate methods and pour plate methods.
• Will get into flow cytometry later on in this role.
• Some paperwork and data entry involved. 70% lab work and 30% paperwork/data entry

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in the Life Sciences Preferred (Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry or etc)
• 1 years experience in laboratory setting with a bachelors degree.
• 2-3 years with a High school diploma
• Nice to have - Flow Cytometry
• Ability to use a variety of styles of pipettes and micropipettes, specifically multi-channel electronic pipettes
