    ROLE
    The Microbiologist will play a crucial role in our tissue culture laboratory, focusing on the development and optimization of microbial techniques to support the propagation of plants. This position requires a blend of expertise in microbiology, plant science, and tissue culture techniques. The successful candidate will work closely with our team to ensure the production of genetically stable and pathogen-free plantings.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS
    •Develop and implement microbial assays to test plant tissue for pathogens.
    •Optimize sterilization protocols for plant tissue culture processes.
    •Conduct research on microbial interactions with cannabis plants to improve growth and resistance to diseases.
    •Maintain and manage microbial cultures and plant tissue samples.
    •Collaborate with the research team to design and execute experiments.
    •Analyze data, prepare scientific reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
    •Ensure compliance with biosafety and regulatory standards in the laboratory.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    •A Master’s degree in Microbiology, Plant Pathology, or a related field. A Ph.D. is preferred.
    •Minimum of 2 years of experience in a microbiology or tissue culture laboratory setting, preferably related to agriculture or plant sciences.
    •Demonstrated expertise in microbial techniques, including isolation, cultivation, and identification of bacteria and fungi.
    •Experience with plant tissue culture techniques and an understanding of plant physiology.
    •Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis software.
    •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    •Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
    •Requires fingerprint submission.
    •High School, GED diploma or two-year associate degree.
    •Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
    •Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.

    LOGISTICS
    •Main office is located ten minutes from downtown Tulsa.
    •Clients are currently located exclusively in Oklahoma with global expansion planned.
    •Suppliers are both domestic and international.WORKFLOW
    •Full time in office.
    •One site location.

    SCHEDULE
    •8 hour shift.
    •Monday to Friday with the occasional weekend.
