Collects and reviews middle market loan development information and prepares required analysis and documentation. Being a Middle Market Lending Specialist establishes good client relationships and potential for future referrals or cross-sell opportunities by responding to requests for information, answering questions about products, and coordinating other service resources. Performs loan portfolio tracking and generates reports to measure compliance with lending terms and policies. Additionally, Middle Market Lending Specialist keeps abreast of lending products, services, and policies. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Middle Market Lending Specialist occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Secured Lending Residential Specialist will be responsible for providing the information needed to order and review appraisals. In addition, a Secured Lending Residential Specialist will manage construction project files and advise on project progress. Level I will focus on residential 1-4 family appraisals and appraisal ordering. Level II will also handle residential 1-4 family appraisals over $1 million and residential construction funding for loans under $1 million. In addition to the previous tasks, Level III will handle any residential appraisals and residential construction funding for loans over $1 million.

    PROVIDE ENHANCED CLIENT SERVICE

    Be the source of exceptional client and employee experiences. Meet employee and vendor expectations and established Bank goals. Develop solutions and implement plans to exceed employee and vendor goals as often as possible. Respond to inquiries, manage complaints, and resolve problems to provide an exceptional banking experience.

    FOCUS ON ACCURACY AND ATTENTION TO DETAIL


    Coordinate receipt of required documentation to order all necessary appraisals. Completes thorough review on these reports in a timely manner. Monitor the status of the reports and provide timely updates to loan officers. Maintain proper system documentation in electronic form to appropriate files. Manage residential construction projects based on loan conditions. Verify budgets, funding sources, contracts, permits, and disbursement requests.


    SEEK PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES


    Takes advantage of training opportunities to advance knowledge of rules and regulations that affect the appraisal, environmental, and construction lending processes. Looks for opportunities to improve processes and procedures to make work more efficient. Continue professional development by voluntarily participating in elective course, webinars, and offsite seminars. As knowledge and experience advance, there will be opportunities to promote to Secured Lending Specialist II, and III.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, & EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, with related experience and secondary education preferred. Successful completion of required background checks is required.     LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents. Possesses professional communication and interpersonal skills to write and speak effectively both one-on-one and before groups of clients or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate to clients directly and effectively.


    TECHNOLOGY SKILLS: Ability to use telephone systems and possess good computer skills including email, internet and intranet use. Prior experience or the ability to learn core transaction system, debit card system, statement processing system, cash advance machines and any other computer programs pertinent to performing job duties.


    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


    REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve challenging problems involving several variables in a standardized situation.

    This position operates in a professional office environment with considerable time spent at a desk using office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. Noise level is moderate with constant communication and interactions with others. Ability to travel on occasion to all market areas and attend seminars or training sessions offsite.
