Introduction:
Our client is a local community bank seeking a seasoned agriculture / commercial lender to join their leadership team as a Market President. This position will be the go-to banking officer at one of their branch locations. This role will inherit a multi-million dollar ag / commercial loan portfolio due to an upcoming retirement. Our client is located in northeast North Dakota.
Position Overview:
The Market President will be responsible for maintaining and developing client relationships to assist in securing various agriculture, commercial, small business, and other credits. Your expertise in loan origination, credit analysis, and customer service will be instrumental in guiding clients through the loan process and ensuring their financial needs are met while limiting the bank's exposure.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with current and prospective clients to assess their loan needs and provide expert advice on available loan options
- Collect and review financial documents from clients to determine their eligibility for loans
- Evaluate loan applications and conduct credit analysis to determine the risk level and recommend appropriate loan terms
- Collaborate with management team to ensure timely processing and approval of loans
- Negotiate loan terms and conditions with clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process, addressing any concerns or questions from clients
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in lending practices
Requirements:
- 10 years' proven agriculture and/or commercial lending experience
- Strong knowledge of loan origination processes and credit analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
