Middleware Engineer performs design, development, installation, tuning, and maintenance of middleware applications. Provisions platforms and infrastructure with middleware solutions. Being a Middleware Engineer analyzes requirements to implement effective middleware architecture, resolve technical issues, and optimize performance. Defines and documents technical designs and system configurations. Additionally, Middleware Engineer coordinates with application development and cross-functional technical teams to enable and support middleware integrations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Middleware Engineer works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. What you will do:
Assists supervisor in providing leadership and technical support to assigned personnel. Aids management in creating and maintaining a safe work environment, managing costs and delivering a quality product on time. Performs as a working member of the crew providing additional oversight to ensure work is performed within budgeted time and within the guidelines of all applicable FAA regulations. Helps to manage the daily workflow of the aircraft by providing help with all aspects of the project including troubleshooting issues as well as problems with customers. This position performs safety sensitive functions as defined by the DOT under CFR 49 Part 40 and FAR 121.
