Overview 

cyDaptiv Solutions is seeking a Senior Oracle Middleware Engineer with experience supporting Federal and/or Navy Oracle projects.  The Oracle Middleware Engineer will have experience in Weblogic, Oracle Identity Management, Oracle Unified Directory, Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Amazon GovCloud, and system analysis. This is a fully remote role and may require weekend and/or off-peak work hours for patching servers on a monthly basis.

Responsibilities: 

• Complete helpdesk support tickets. These tasks include user account administration, running of scripts, troubleshooting of errors/performance/connectivity, deployment and troubleshoot.
• Oracle quarterly patching and security maintenance. Assist with workload along with other support contractors and civilian employees patching approximately 100 hosts. Quarterly patching efforts includes Development, Test and Production environments across multiple hosting locations/facilities.
• Complete Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) upon request by IA or application teams in support of Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation efforts. This shall include configuration, policy, communication, documentation and operational procedures. 12c versions and above of the STIGs shall be required for applicable products.
• Performance Tuning. Monitor and tune products. Review and respond to problems. Monitor and tune resource limits and resource management plans. Create and monitor auditing policies to track events of interest. Take corrective action on negative/degrading audit events to prevent future events.
• Support technical refresh and operating system conversions. This includes optimizing the current hosting environment and decommissioning environments as needed.
• Fusion Middleware resiliency, availability and performance. Identify inconsistencies between Development, Test and Production environments. Interface with application teams to design and create a highly efficient and available environment to promote consistency within the enterprise. Resolve and advise of sizing and storage inconsistencies across the environment. Resolve connection string issues with applicable application teams.

Required Qualifications: 

• 10 years of relevant Oracle Fusion Middleware experience
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Meet DOD 8570/8140 certification requirements for IAT Level II. Includes: CCNA Sec, GISCP, GSEC, Security CE, CND, or SSCP. 
• Currently possess or ability to obtain a Computing Environment Certification within 6 months of hire… CompTIA DataSys , CompTIA Server , CompTIA Linux , Red Hat Ansible Automation, Oracle WebLogic Server Certified

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or engineering discipline preferred.
• Install and configure the Ansible tool and provide an up-to-date Playbook to match currently required STIG guidelines. Begin execution processes of necessary STIGs to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide additional functional and technical software and hardware engineering services such as installation, testing, training, documentation and customer support as needed to improve the delivery of new start or sustainment of software and hardware design, development, deployment, training.
• Assist with the refinements to the user experience, organizational change management philosophy and organizational re-alignment modifications; data cleansing, migration and integration; training; investigation of failed transactions and system failures; and development of remedial action plans.
• Design and implement process automation solutions using web services, service-oriented architecture and middleware within Navy security standards.
