    Expected Outcomes and Requirements: 

    Gateway Fiber is hiring a Middleware Developer to design, develop, and maintain middleware solutions that facilitate seamless communication and data exchange between different applications. The Middleware Developer is expected to contribute in the following significant ways: 
    • Design, develop, and implement middleware solutions to facilitate communication between disparate systems and applications.
    • Collaborate with cross-function teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective middleware solutions.
    • Integrate various software components, systems, and applications using middleware technologies to ensure smooth data flow and communications.
    • Work closely with other developers and system architects to ensure seamless integration of middleware solutions with existing systems.
    • Monitor and optimize the performance of middleware applications to ensure efficiency and reliability.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to middleware components and their interactions with other systems.
    • Configure and maintain middleware platforms, ensuring they align with the organization’s security and performance standards.
    • Implement and manage middleware configurations based on project requirements.
    • Create comprehensive documentation and cataloging for middleware solutions, including design specifications, installation instructions, and troubleshooting guides.
    • Keep documentation up to date with changes and enhancements to middleware systems.
    • Collaborate with other developers, system administrators, and business analysts to understand and address integration needs.
    • Provide technical support and guidance to other teams involved in the development and maintenance of integrated systems.
    What you’ll bring to the table: 
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related degree. Combination of work experience and education will be considered. 
    • Proven experience as a Middleware Developer, or similar role, with track record of successful middleware implementations.
    • Deep knowledge and understanding of middleware technologies such as Apace, Kafka, IBM MQ, Rabbit MQ, and similar.
    • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C , PHI, Python, etc. 
    • Familiarity with API development and integration patterns.
    • Experience with containerization technologies; Docker and/or Kubernetes a plus.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to convey technical concepts and language to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting capabilities with a solution-focused delivery.
