Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Millwright works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Millwright typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. Position : Journeyman Millwright
Location : 7000 Alburtis Rd., Macungie, PA 18062
Employment Type : Permanent Full Time
Work Schedule & Shift : 2nd shift Monday Friday. (Hours subject to change based on production demands and seniority. Overtime is required)
Starting Compensation : $38.26 per hour, plus 6% shift differential (for 2nd & 3rd shift), along with an excellent benefits package that includes health, life, dental and vision plans as well as a 401(k) with a company match incentive.
Position Responsibilities :
use hoists, cranes, tractors, jacks, rollers and other rigging devices; Construction Materials, Fabricate and erect building structural steel and miscellaneous iron, Install scaffolds, Hand, Power, Leveling and Measuring Tools, Construct, install, repair and maintain various conveyors, Chain falls, concrete foundations & maintain and replace belts, any other mechanical machinery used in the production process.
