Millwright maintains industrial machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand and power tools. Moves, assembles, installs or dismantles machinery. Being a Millwright interprets schematic diagrams, blueprints, and sketches. Analyzes plans for new equipment and maps out space to unpack and assemble new equipment. Additionally, Millwright troubleshoots problems and repairs or replaces worn or broken parts as necessary. May use equipment like forklifts, aerial lifters, and cranes to move heavy or unwieldy machinery. May perform welding, fabrication, or calibration as needed. Follows all work site safety requirements and regulations. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require OSHA Forklift Operator Certification. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Job Description:
We are seeking a Mechanical Service Technician to become an integral part of our team! This Mechanic is charged with the production and installation of various mechanical parts for the equipment we manufacture and performing proper service procedures on items including pumps, mills, and gearboxes. This should be accomplished with minimal supervision while maintaining quality standards.
Scope: The MillWright/Mechanic is responsible for the full range of installation of mechanical and electrical parts for proper operating procedures according to manufacturing standards, inspection of mounting, and installation of various plumbing applications. Should be able to determine the correct actions needed to install or repair items using metal fabrication tools, cutting tools, and limited welding. Limited travel required for installation of tanks and equipment with crew to deliver and install equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities: After training, this person should be able to properly install, evaluate or repair the following components to the standards of the Service Technicians :
1. Actuated and Non-actuated Valves
2. Trailer Parking/Service Brake Lines, and Suspension Kits
3. Rebuild mills and pumps and build full pump skids
4. Burner Fuel Lines (Diesel, Natural Gas, Propane)
5. Power Transmission Drives to Augers, Pumps, or other equipment
6. RTDs (in the proper location), Manual Temps, Level Devices, and Differential Switches/Plumbing, Sample Ports, & Actuated Valves
7. Ensure that Torque Bolts on flanges are tight and correct Gaskets are used per application
Skills: Read and understand the Bill of Materials for mechanical components and their position on units. Interpret BOMs to fabricate pump skids according to pump and gearbox size. Recognize plumbing schematics to determine valve application, positions, actuated valves, heat trace, fuel lines, and differential pressure lines. Must be able to read a tape measure and use hand tools.
